Registered students who are current members of either APSS/GA (submit proof of membership / proof of membership fee payment) and wish to present their scientific findings at the APSS 2026 Congress are eligible to apply for a travel grant.
Researchers aged 40 years or younger may apply.
In addition to the application form, applicants must submit the following documents for review:
- Letter of recommendation from your supervisor
- Curriculum vitae (1-2 pages)
- Scan of the valid student identity card or equivalent certification from the university confirming that you are a postgraduate student or postdoctoral fellow.
- Abstract submission for an oral or poster presentation
- Estimation of travel and accommodation costs and a brief explanation of what the travel fund will be used for (1/2 page)
The travel grant money can be used to cover travel and/or accommodation expenses. Please note that the registration fee for the APSS congress will be waived for all awardees. A fixed amount of money will be granted:
- Only complete applications will be considered for further review.
- Only one travel grant can be granted to the same working group/ same supervisor.
- Applicants who received an APSS-travel grant in previous years are not eligible. The number of grants is limited.
- Notification: awardees will be informed at least one week before the deadline for the early bird registration expires.
- The grants will be handed over at the congress
The jury for this award will be the Awards Committee, which comprises of several board members of the APSS Societies.
